Steps to stimulate my little one's imagination
Share
Based on Albert Einstein's saying, "Knowledge is not a sign of intelligence, but imagination is," which is the origin of all innovation and departure from the usual and the usual. Imagination is able to develop communication and conversation skills, and children who possess the ability to imagine are more creative, superior, understanding, and more able to express themselves. To stimulate the imagination - which already exists - there are a number of games that stimulate it:
1- Reading picture stories: Choose stories with large, colorful pictures that will attract your child’s attention. At this stage, you don’t need to tell the story as it was written, but it is enough to grab his attention through the colorful pictures.
2- Use open questions: such as asking him: What if the bird flew from its home in the tree? Listen to his answer carefully and give his imagination the opportunity to imagine and visualize the events.
3- Allow him to play messy games: such as playing with dirt and mud without worrying about getting dirty because he needs to experience every new texture.
4- Ask your child to explain what happened in the episode of the cartoon series he loves. Then he will start recalling the details of the episode and adding or subtracting from it from his imagination.
5- Choose imaginative games and buy tools that help the little one imagine his role as a doctor. You can buy doctor’s tools such as a stethoscope and a thermometer and start acting out the role with him. You will be amazed at the little one’s ability to innovate while he tries to impersonate the role of a doctor.
6- Talk to him constantly and draw his attention to the things around him, such as saying: Look, my love, at these colorful flowers. Which color do you prefer?
7- Ask interesting open questions such as: What if you turned into a butterfly, where would you go?
8- Choose a puzzle of his favorite cartoon character. The assembly process stimulates the imagination in a practical way.
9- Reduce exposure to modern technology devices such as tablets and others.
10-Understand your child's intelligence and the games they prefer, and focus on them. Does he or she like blocks? Drawing? Dancing and moving? Remember that these are all different forms of intelligence that you should develop and work hard to achieve.
