Steps to facilitate moving to a new home

Moving into a new home is one of the most difficult tasks any mother faces, given the many details and desire to organize everything in a way that makes the day's tasks easier. However, by following the following steps, the process of moving into your new home will be easier:

1- Sort the supplies for each room. For example, if you are starting with the kitchen, sort the cooking utensils and daily uses. Through this sorting, you will find many old or broken supplies that you do not need, but are forgotten in the kitchen drawers and shelves. Therefore, you can get rid of them instead of moving all the junk. However, this sorting determines what you need to take with you and what you need to buy.

2- Write on each box a description of what it contains, to avoid a lot of chaos after moving all the boxes and standing there wondering what each box contains, and having to open the box. Be specific in the description, such as writing “glass accessories for the living room,” and this way the box will be placed in the living room.

3- Don't forget the size of the new house: While arranging the boxes, keep in mind the size of the new house. If it is smaller, this means arranging your priorities. For example, you can arrange an entire box and not open it when moving to the new house, but rather store it. So, be precise when arranging the boxes.

4- Wrap the glass pieces with plastic tape to protect them from breakage and write “Glass” on the box. Handle carefully.

5- Distribute the tasks among your family members so that each member participates, which makes it easier to complete the task because it requires a lot of time and effort.

7- Make sure that the shipping company packs the furniture properly to prevent it from breaking during transportation and entry into the new home.

8- Prioritize when unpacking in your new home. Choose the most used rooms, organize them, and divide the task into days to get some rest.

9- Move and empty the boxes in stages if possible, so that you will have the new house ready when you are finished with the boxes.

10- Arrange the baby’s room as the first room for him to settle in and play in, while you have time to finish the rest of the rooms while he is busy and does not delay you from completing the rest of the tasks.
