Choose a game for your little one to develop his intelligence

There is a saying, "A child learns, develops, and his personality is shaped by his toys." That is why I always make sure to choose toys that suit his personality. I would like to share my personal experience regarding choosing toys. After my little one's third birthday, and the accumulation of a huge number of gifts of different colors and shapes, I decided to sort the toys and keep the types that my little one loves to play with and that can help him develop his skills and intelligence, and keep a number of toys that I did not see any addition that could make.
On the other hand, I rejected some other toys, such as guns. I went to the stores and decided to replace them. Here, I share my experience with you:
1- Ensure a variety of types and shapes of toys: In the beginning, it took some effort and presenting many options to my little one to know what kind of toys would attract him, keeping in mind that little ones get bored and constantly want new things.
2- Showing multiple forms of the same game and its development with his age. For example, I noticed my little one’s love for the puzzle designed for young children, which is a wooden board, and he places the shapes in the empty spaces designated for them. As his skills developed and a year passed, I began choosing small shapes from the traditional puzzle in small sizes so that he would feel excited and encouraged to finish it successfully. When he was three years old, I chose for him a large puzzle the size of floor tiles in the shapes of jungle animals, and I played with him at first until he mastered the game completely.
3- Shapes game: It is a box with holes in the shapes of a circle, star, triangle, square, and rectangle. The child chooses the appropriate shape to put in the box. This game helps develop the child’s motor and intellectual skills and increases his concentration.
4- Notice what attracts him: I noticed my little one's intense love for kitchen and supermarket toys, so I didn't hesitate for a moment to buy these units for my little one to enjoy, even though some consider them girls' toys.
5- Musical instruments and crafts: Discovering your child’s talents should begin at an early age. The presence of colors and variety in crafts opens the door to creativity in the child.
